Empowering Leaders to Develop Themselves and Spark Significant Breakthroughs

Our Journey So Far

Founded in late 2019 as a training and leadership development platform for the third sector, Sparkworks swiftly adapted during the pandemic to focus on aiding those facing food insecurity and poverty. In early 2022, we began coaching leaders within the charity sector, experiencing rapid client growth.

By 2023, Sparkworks attained charitable status, prioritizing coaching and training for leaders with limited access to such resources. In 2024, Sparkworks Coaching PLC was launched with a mission to sponsor young leaders seeking top-tier training. For every three individuals coached by SCPLC, a young leader is coached by Sparkworks UK, promoting leadership development across diverse communities.

At Sparkworks, we're dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders through equitable access to transformative coaching experiences.

Case Study: Lewisham Gateway Projects

Sparkworks and Lewisham Gateway have established projects that have provided emergency food provision to 100+ young people and families each month, alongside education and youth initiatives.

Lewisham Gateway have been striving to build strong bonds with their local community. Lee is a culturally diverse area, with a vibrant sense of community and lots of young people and families. Although Lewisham has become increasingly affluent, there are many families who are struggling financially, physically and emotionally.

Initially the brief was to establish a youth based project, as a bridge to supporting the wider community, with an educational impact, and food provision, and as a way of reducing anti-social behaviour. When Covid struck, the focus shifted urgently. Gateway noticed an increasing need for emergency food provision, and family support, to go alongside youth provision.

'Sparkworks have helped us to focus our vision and to build ideas from concept into concrete. Danny and Chris have a way of inspiring you to dream big, then helping you to make that a reality.'

Testimonial: Metro Foundation London

In September 2020 New Creation Church London, NCCL began with our vision to set up a Community Project – Metro Foundation including Metro Food. Metro Foundation has so far impacted over 200 young people and their families, suffering from food poverty. Sparkworks are working with Metro Foundation to continue to grow their current project. This includes the procurement of larger premises, increasing and training the team, and securing additional funding.

'Sparkworks were the catalyst in driving growth in our organisation. Sparkworks:

  • Identified key growth areas.

  • Created vision forums that allowed us to dream and strategize effectively.

  • Led the team by creating achievable goals to meet our project deadline.

  • Got their hands dirty and delivered the project with us.'
