What is Coaching?

Coaching helps to break down complexity.

In very simple terms, coaching provides someone with the opportunity to explore their future steps, whether in their organisation, professional life, or even in their own personal development, with someone who will listen, ask powerful questions and help them to explore their next steps.

When we work with organisations to create programmes to impact their community, we don’t want to copy and paste from elsewhere. We don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but we want to work with the leaders to create the right solutions for their community.

Coaching works to help break down complexity, to provide clarity and momentum for growth. The coach guides the conversations, listening, supporting and challenging, without giving specific direction or advice.

Through this process, I hope to help the client to gain new perspectives and insight into their journey. There are so many benefits of coaching, and so I have listed a few of them below:

  1. Coaching helps with strategies for the ways forwards, improving our decision making and moving from the big picture to the practical.

  2. Coaching helps to build confidence, honing our leadership ability.

  3. Coaching helps improve communication in the team.

  4. Coaching helps to build resilience and momentum, helping us to move forwards.

  5. Coaching helps leaders to discover their unique strengths, giving space to gain new perspectives.
